…so Frank Sinatra says and who am I to argue.
What I’m Wearing Today – #ootd – Peter Pilotto SS 14
So, inspired by this quote – which i nabbed from #Instagram yesterday – I’m wearing orange.
Bright orange in fact. In fact, it’s so bright I’m nearly blinded by the dress. It’s sure to be a talking point at dinner tonight.
The sun has gone and today it’s pouring down with rain so I feel I need something to lift my mood and my spirits and what better colour than orange.
The dress is by Peter Pilotto – it’s a few seasons old (SS 14) – I work on the philosophy that good designs never go out of fashion.
It’s another dress that can cross seasons well with the addition of the right accessories – tonight I’ll be wearing it with 70 denier Falke tights and patent black stilettos.
The dress is made of printed neoprene so holds its shape really well (and it’s comfortable to wear). The print is multicoloured angles and as you can see it’s a riot of pinks, oranges, yellows and blacks. It has slit pockets and a flared asymmetric hem. I’ve actually just found this picture on vogue.com so now I’m off to buy a flared black underskirt to wear with it later.
If you fancy wearing orange this Spring, check out a few of these dresses below. They’re all on my wish list and available for shopping now (either online or in-store). I particularly love the Warehouse dress and I’ll be saving up for the Roksanda one …
