What I’m Wearing Today – #ootd – Mary Katrantzou Dress, YSL tribute shoes
I knew today would be tough. Having said that, it was actually light when I got out of bed at the crack of dawn. It makes me laugh that school calls it the ‘Spring Term’ when most of it actually takes place in winter.
Anyway, having done the mad scramble to find the lost PE kit (actually rotting away in my daughter’s locker at school), and doing last minute homework (anyone else has a kid that does this?), we all managed to get dressed and be out of the house for 7.30am.
So, what did I eventually wear to my first day in the office for ages?
Well, the day called for power dressing – but knowing I was going to be sat down in a badly lit office all day – I also needed comfort.
So, I opted for #marykatrantzou again because I wanted to look like I meant business.
This dress is simple – both the cut and shape are classic. The print is standout but not too domineering. Most of all what I like about this dress is that it’s timeless. I know I’ll be able to wear it in 20 years from now and nobody will say it’s not fashionable.
The dress is old (like me) but if you’re looking for a classic timeless shift dress for spring take a look at these.

I’ll certainly be buying the gorgeous Topshop bargains.
