Finally it looks like spring has arrived. I know that Britain had a heat-wave before Easter but I was in Myanmar having a heat wave of my own and missed it.
I subsequently returned home to arctic temperatures with hail and snow and spent the first two weeks back in the UK in black and winter woollies.
Anyway, I digress, this week has actually been warm and enabled me to break out some summer pieces. I keep thinking I’m coming to the end of my Christopher Kane haul but every time I think I’ve finished I find another long forgotten piece in my wardrobe.
I definitely know now that I could have put a sizeable deposit down on a very big house with the money I’ve spent on clothes over the past three decades. Having said that, when I die I’ll be leaving a huge collection of British designer wear to the V&A for people to look at for years to come – allowing for my daughter to have the pick of my collection first of course.
My favourite pieces from this week are, clockwise from top left:
Frankenstein bolts pink crepe dress – SS 13
Lava cashmere cardi and pants – AW11
Pink print and black lace dress – Resort 15
Black coin chiffon dress – AW 08
Silk flower t-shirt – SS12, Christopher Kane for JBrand jeans
Frankenstein t-shirt and cotton and lace skirt – SS 13
